Amendments to Supreme Court Rules
(Effective 1/1/10)


The Supreme Court of Kentucky has amended several rules that will affect Applications for Admission to the Kentucky Bar and the Kentucky Bar Examination.  These amendments will become effective on January 1, 2010.  Below is a portion of the amendments.  A complete copy can be obtained here.

Effective January 1, 2010: 

FEES

All fees described in SCR 2.018, 2.022, 2.110, 2.111, 2.112, and 2.120 shall be made payable to the Kentucky Office of Bar Admissions.

FILING APPLICATIONS

All applications for admission that are filed after January 1, 2010, must be filed with the Kentucky Office of Bar Admissions, 1510 Newtown Pike, Suite 156, Lexington, KY  40511.

PASSING THE BAR EXAM (SCR 2.080)

After failing to pass five (5) Kentucky Bar Examinations, an applicant shall not be permitted to sit for the Kentucky Bar Examination.

 

**NOTE:  The above amendments will not affect anyone applying to sit for the February 2010 bar exam.
