Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) Information

Pursuant to SCR 2.015, no person shall be eligible for admission to the Kentucky Bar until that person has first passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination administered by the National Conference of Bar examiners by attaining a scaled score thereon of at least 75.  

No person shall sit for the Bar Examinations administered under SCR 2.080 or 3.500 unless he or she has first passed the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination administered by the National Conference of Bar Examiners by attaining a scaled score thereon of at least 75.

Currently, there is no time limit for taking the MPRE prior to sitting for the Kentucky bar examination.

Applicants must request that official notification of their MPRE scores be sent directly to the Admission's office from the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE). Unofficial scores will not be accepted. Completed application materials for testing, as well as other correspondence, inquiries, and requests concerning application materials and the administration and processing of the NCBE Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE), should be directed to the following:
