Nonstandard Testing
Accommodations Information

Any applicant who requires non-standard test accommodations to complete the Bar Examination must file an Application for Non-standard Test Accommodations and submit the requested documentation and accompanying forms with the Application for Admission to the Kentucky Bar.  The Application and documentation must be filed no later than the filing deadline for the Kentucky Bar Examination Application.  Applicants are encouraged to file their completed application forms as early as possible, in order to facilitate expedient decisions regarding accommodations.

The instructions for requesting non-standard test accommodations, the application and accompanying forms area available here.

The Board of Bar Examiners’ Policy for Non-Standard Testing Accommodations is as follows:

The Board of Examiners shall administer the bar examination to all eligible applicants in a manner that is fair and equitable.  Persons needing non-standard testing accommodations on the bar examination should make written request to the Kentucky Office of Bar Admissions to obtain the necessary information and procedures within applicable deadlines.  The Board of Bar Examiners requires appropriate current documentation.  The Board may, upon written application, modify the manner in which the examination is administered to an applicant while maintaining the security and integrity of the examination.
