How does the Committee conduct further inquiry, when that is necessary?

The applicant may be asked to provide facts and explanations, in addition to the questions on the bar application.  In order to verify the accuracy of the information provided in the application, or to obtain additional information, the Committee may also contact the applicant's references, the applicant's employers, colleges and law schools, courts, medical providers, police agencies and credit agencies.  The Committee employs its own investigator and may use the investigative services of the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
